Dofus 2.0 incoming!
And it’s name is Wakfu!
Even if Ankama Games swears it will not replace Dofus, the game is still a Tactical Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game and it’s still incredibly similar to Dofus (that’s why my “Dofus 2.0″ title): placed a long time in the future of the Dofus storyline, the game will feature smooth scrollable maps (instead of screen based maps), the same 12 races from the original game, new skills, live events, more varied character customization options, a more interactive world (resources has to be preserved as in EVE Online) and better servers capable of hosting up to 25K players at once. This time players will band to destroy an evil Ogre named Ogrest (I guess that Ankama will continue with its funny names policy) who has collected all the six Dofuses and has reached the Ultimate Power (TM).
As for any other Ankama Games project, this one has astounding graphics and lots of personality. It will be one of the titles to keep an eye on 2007, since the beta test will be up and running lately this year. In the meantime you may go on the site above and wait for news and medias that will be published on a regular basis from now on.
